City Bucks is all about having fun, trying new places, and leveraging the power of group buying.

The City Bucks idea really started about two years ago as a couple of very successful entrepreneurs were discussing the current economic crisis. We both had experience in working with co-ops for many years and we began to explore ideas as to how we might form co-ops or groups that would join together to purchase regular everyday goods and services in the local community at deep discounts.

This general concept, of course, is also a tremendous benefit to all kinds of local businesses who would like to introduce their business to new customers. After many months and lots of cocktail napkins, the City Bucks idea was born. The web site went into development and City Bucks will launch in the middle of 2010.

The concept is great because it is so simple and it’s FUN! Groups of consumers come together on our website and take advantage of deep discounts offered by local merchants who are looking to increase sales volume and gain repeat customers.

There are new deals every day. You even get input as to which merchants you would like to see promoted on the site.
